Formed initially from the diaries of Vanora Clark, the members of Vanora's Watch have continued to add to these documents during their research trips into the Faewilds, or from archeological digs. While the primary subject is the creatures that lurk within the magically infested forests, these documents also consist of any strange or interesting encounters and information.

Afanc

These reptilian fae-like creatures are vicious foes, supposedly corrupted pookah (who aren’t yet proven to exist).

Corrupted Beasts

Animals that are corrupted by an unknown force within the Faewilds. They tend to have engorged limbs, glowing eyes, and act more savagely than usual.

Golltras

These corrupted fae share a common ancestor with the Bendith, but are descended from the First Clans who refused to unite under Arawn’s rule. They retreated into the Faewilds, which are saturated in magic, and became the contorted versions of fae they are today. Some have vestigial wings, but are unable to fly. It’s been suggested that Golltras are able to understand fae language, but any attempts to reason with them have so far been unsuccessful.

Raeth

When fae and other creatures are brought back from the dead for more than a few minutes, they are no longer under the control of the necromancer, and become feral. These become known as raeths.

Rhibyn

These pale, weeping fae-like creatures appear to be conjurations of the Faewilds. It has been suggested that they are yet another branch of fae descended from the First Clans, but no evidence currently exists to support this. They screech when getting ready to attack.

Archfey

These beings of pure magic are not to be trifled with. They exist both within the world and without it, and as such, have an influence beyond which any fae could ever achieve. Archfey appear in whatever form they choose, so it is difficult to know when you are conversing with one. Known Archfey include Mr Chess, who has a tendency to impose his board game ways onto the battlefield.

There are theories that Archfey are corporeal manifestations of the Ley Lines that run through the world, though no one has yet been brave enough to test these theories out.

Dragons

Dragons have not been seen in centuries, though it was known that King Arawn befriended a scarlet dragon.

Pookah

The pookah are nature spirits believed to live near mountains and rock formations. They are generally friendly, but are very protective of their homes. They are shapeshifters that can appear in multiple forms, usually that of an animal. On a few occasions, they will appear in fae form, however their spiritual side is shown in their animal features they can’t hide - such as animal ears, tails and claws (they may have all or some of these features, or something different entirely). It is believed that afanc are corrupted versions of pookah, though this has not been proven. It has long been debated whether pookah are real, as they are rarely seen in fae form.

Cold Iron

A mysterious material rumoured to be from beyond Annwn, it is said to hold the power of death with just the barest touch - no fae is immune to its fatal chill.
