The rules on this page describe how to create a Character for Memories of Annwn. Follow them step-by-step then use the form in the final step to submit a Character.

Consider what sort of character you want to play and what their role is. Characters in Memories of Annwn are all fae members of Vanora’s Watch, an independent military group with the task of keeping Antumnos safe from the dangers in the Faewilds. The reason your character is there - whether they volunteered, were assigned, or sent there as punishment - is up to you.

The standout characteristic of Characters in Memories of Annwn is their nation which not only informs their home and culture but the magic that runs through the veins of every fae who comes from it. Picking your nation informs your culture, appearance, costume, and provides your inherent magic.

The five nations available are:

Whichever nation you select will give you access to the relevant school of Magic and allow you to select two spells.

Skills define what your Character is capable of beyond their inherent magic granted from their nation. They grant additional combat skills, access to more forms of magic common to all fae, as well as access to a variety of professions for crafting.

For characters at Event 1, you have 4 Experience Points (XP) to spend on the Skills listed here.

Every event a Character is played at yields an additional XP to spend on Skills, and after every third event XP is equalised across all Characters (new or old).

Tell us about your Character! Describe them in a 20 word public bio (which will be displayed on the Wiki) and an optional private background (max 300 words) that will be reviewed by the Refs for stylistic and metaphysical conformity (no secretly being Vanora, no secret dragons).
