-====== Artifice ======

-The crafting of magical objects is known as artificing, and can be used for making a variety of items based on a freeform description.
-
-Items can be designed by any Artificer, but require a Ref to review it and define the requirements for building it. Each artefact will be reviewed case by case. It can also involve a reasonable amount of roleplay (e.g. additional foraging, enchanting rituals, and build times).
-
-The primary difference between an [[Enchanting|Enchanted item]] and an Artefact is the longevity and magical complexity of the item - Artefacts are far more durable and, sometimes, more powerful.
-
-==== Example Artefact ====
-
-FIXME - would like to use a different example
-
-Pitch: //“I would like to create a banner that gives a boost to Druidry on the battlefield.”//
-
-The ref would have to consider the resources needed to make the physical banner (wood, cotton, leather), as well as the resources that would relate best to the given purpose.
-
-An example of supplies needed, for this artefact, could be:
-  * Queen’s Pine (Tree) x3
-  * Bovine Leather (Hide) x1
-  * Saheseed (Herbs) x5
-  * Batrachite (Gemstone) x2
-  * Unrefined Magic x1
-
-The player suggesting the artefact would then have to attempt to gather the supplies listed by the ref in order to create the artefact. Once everything has been gathered, the player must bring the resources to the ref, who will then tell them how long it would take to craft.
-
-For this particular artefact, it may take up to 30 minutes of roleplay or less if there are additional crafters. This artefact would also be given the time limit of four events usage, wherein the artefact’s magic would wear off and no longer provide any magical benefits.  If a phys-rep can be attained, then one may be provided by the crew, otherwise the players are encouraged to bring their own if possible.
